Role Summary
As Chief of Staff, you will act as a trusted right hand to the CEO, owning critical company-wide initiatives and enabling high-velocity execution. Your mission is to 4x the CEO’s capacity by solving complex operational challenges, driving strategic projects, and ensuring cross-functional alignment at the highest level.
The ideal candidate has 8-15+ years of experience in leadership roles such as Founder, Chief of Staff, COO, GM, BizOps lead, or investor, with a strong track record of scaling startups, leading fundraising, and managing executive operations in a high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic CEO Leverage & Executive Operations
- Own the CEO’s priorities – Track commitments, drive execution, follow up on action items, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Own the CEO’s strategic initiatives, making independent decisions to unblock execution across the company.
- Structure and manage the CEO’s decision-making process—ensuring focus on the highest-value work and eliminating distraction. Ruthlessly prioritize meetings, remove distractions, and block off focus time.
- Develop executive-level materials for board meetings, investor updates, and fundraising.
- Directly represent the CEO in meetings with investors, key partners, and internal leadership when necessary.
- Ensure high-impact communication by drafting critical messages, prep for meetings, synthesizing information, keeping stakeholders informed, and translating decisions into clear next steps.
- Build and maintain the CEO’s task system – Manage their to-do list, inbox, calendar, and delegation process.
- Run company-wide operating rhythms—setting clear OKRs, driving accountability, and ensuring teams execute effectively.
- Own cross-functional problem-solving—stepping in or assigning the correct owner to resolve high-stakes challenges that lack a clear owner.
- Ensure high-velocity execution by systematically tracking key decisions, removing blockers, and ensuring timely follow-through.
- Optimize internal processes and structure as we scale from Series A to Series B.
- Lead Series B fundraising execution—tracking investor outreach, preparing fundraising materials, and managing due diligence.
- Own investor communications—ensuring consistent, high-quality updates to stakeholders.
- Prepare board materials and drive board-level strategic discussions.
- Drive key strategic initiatives that will define the next stage of Impulse Labs’ growth.
- Own hiring and team-building initiatives—ensuring we recruit and onboard top talent at an executive level.
- Proactively identify gaps in the organization and solve them.
- Experienced Operator – You have 8-15+ years of experience in high-growth startups, venture-backed companies, or equivalent strategic roles.
- Founder/Executive Mindset – You’ve either been a founder, a senior executive, or a top-tier Chief of Staff and know how to run a company.
- Highly Strategic & Execution-Oriented – You don’t just analyze problems; you solve them and drive results.
- Trusted Partner to the CEO – You have the judgment, leadership, and decision-making ability to act as an extension of the CEO.
- Deeply Experienced in Investor Relations – You know how to handle fundraising, investor updates, and board communications at a high level.
- Operationally World-Class – You understand how to design and implement systems that allow a company to scale from Series A to Series B and beyond.
- Autonomous operator —you thrive in a role where you’re expected to figure things out and execute with minimal oversight.

- Given context shared, create a draft of a 30/60/90 plan for this role. Include OKRs for individual roles with metics and present to the group.
