About This Role

2080HR is establishing our Implementation Services team and looking for an experienced Platform Implementation Manager to support clients through their Human Resources Information System (HRIS) & Payroll platform implementations. In this role, you will lead each assigned implementation and collaborate closely with Platform Partners to deliver seamless, client-centered implementations through their first payroll.

This is an opportunity for a HR/Payroll tech stack specialist who thrives in solution-driven client consulting, technical execution, and cross-functional collaboration. You will play a critical role in shaping how startups and high-growth companies optimize their HRIS/Payroll tech stacks.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with Platform Partners and work directly with startup to mid-market clients to lead full-cycle HRIS/payroll implementations, including tailoring project plans and powerpoint decks based on the implementation specifications along with defined milestones, ensuring clients achieve their desired outcomes and aligning with best practices
  • Partner cross-functionally with Platform Partners' internal teams, including Sales, Account Management, and Support, to ensure smooth hand-offs and an exceptional client experience and delivery
  • Consult directly with clients to assess business objectives, develop customized implementation roadmaps, and provide expert guidance on system configuration across HR, payroll, and benefits administration- this includes scheduling all meetings with clients and providing weekly updates to stakeholders
  • Act as the key liaison between clients and Platform Partners, manage and ensure seamless configuration, alignment on timelines, milestones, configuration and key deliverables while meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) levels
  • Educate and empower clients by leading trainings via video, advising on reporting and automation, and providing best practices to drive system adoption
  • Proactively troubleshoot system challenges, work closely with Platform Partner Support teams to resolve issues efficiently while maintaining client confidence
  • Provide feedback to the Platform Partner’s Product and Engineering teams to offer feedback on customer insights, technical issues, and advocate for product enhancements
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, new platform features, and regulatory changes to continuously optimize implementation strategies and advise clients and internal team proactively
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with the internal HR team to optimize services, internal processes, improve client experience, and drive continuous service improvement

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in HRIS/Payroll/HCM technology implementation, integration, or Customer Experience/Customer Success at a SaaS company and/or as an HR Generalist/Administrator
  • Expertise and hands-on experience with leading HRIS/payroll/HCM platforms such as Rippling, Gusto, ADP, Justworks, TriNet, Paylocity, or similar systems
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities, coupled with a strong dedication to delivering an outstanding customer experience
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to configure systems, optimize workflows, and troubleshoot HR/payroll system issues effectively
  • Client-first mindset with exceptional communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into actionable client insights
  • Proven project management experience to deploy multiple projects simultaneously, delivering expertise with a customer-focused and mindful account management approach
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and provide structured solutions

This is a remote US position; team members located in or near Los Angeles, CA should plan to attend company events in the area.

The pay range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience and location.
