Product Designer, Apparel

As a Product Designer, Apparel, you will be responsible for working with our product design, product development, and manufacturing teams to develop high quality designs for our apparel products that fans will love. About Juniper

Juniper is a crowdfunding and merchandise platform for independent creators. We don’t just run the funding platform (like Kickstarter), we also create the actual products, launch on creator-branded storefronts, and ship to customers! Areas You’ll Own

• Design Work – You’ll be responsible for developing product concepts from initial sketches to finalized designs, ensuring they align with branding and launch direction while maintaining high-quality standards. This includes creating sketch templates for new product categories to support the team, producing technical drawings for manufacturing, and designing product packaging that reflects brand consistency and launch objectives.
• Team Coordination – You'll work closely with the Sr. Designer, Apparel to create cohesive, on-brand apparel designs while keeping project leads informed with design updates and incorporating feedback. Collaboration with the product design team will be essential to ensuring the successful completion of launch projects.
• Timelines – As the designer, you will ensure tasks and projects are completed on time to ensure smooth coordination with other teams. Clear communication will be key when deadlines need to be adjusted to maintain efficiency and alignment

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating excellence in illustration, apparel design, typography, or branding.
• Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator is required.
• Strong drawing/illustration skills to create high quality graphics and communicate design ideas effectively.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Versatility to commit to various brand voices and express that through innovative and fun products.
• Keen attention to detail, and the patience to honestly review your own work.
• Effective time management and respect for others.
• Experience with designing characters and physical products.
• A genuine enthusiasm for pop culture and online creators.
