Defy is looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to add to our growing team. The Medical Assistant Team plays a pivotal role in the patient care plan. Through patience, integrity, communication, and understanding a Medical Administrator will guide our patients to feeling better and improving their lives. A Medical Administrator at Defy is outgoing and enjoys helping people. They can adapt and learn new computer programs quickly. Multitasking, communication, and critical thinking are pillars for a Medical Administrator. Patient care is the key element to being successful in this role.

Responsibilities
- Processing orders
- Phone triage patients throughout the country via telemedicine
- Walking patients through administering injections to themselves
- Take incoming calls in med staff queue
- Complete letter of medical necessities, travel letters
- Communicating via email/phone with providers, patients, and staff
- Assist patients with ordering products
- Sending C/O through Med portal
- Explaining treatment procedures to patients and providing follow up education
- Handle high volume outbound and inbound calls
- Multitasking skills through EMR, Med queue, and other systems
- Phone and email etiquette
- All Training Done in Office for the first 3-4 weeks prior to moving to remote role
Qualifications
- Proficient in medical terminology
- 1 + years' experience in healthcare setting required
- Associate degree preferred but not required
- Pharmaceutical experience encouraged
- 1+ years of experience in a Healthcare setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills via email and verbal
- Proficient in computer skills (Outlook/Microsoft) and EMR systems
- Multitasking and system navigation skills
- Coachable and a team player
