Senior Water Treatment Engineer

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Senior Water Treatment Engineer is responsible for working within an engineering team to provide senior-level engineering leadership, input and support for the design, construction and commissioning of water treatment, remediation and reclamation projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level engineering support for the design, construction, and commissioning of water treatment, mine water management, remediation and reclamation projects.
  • Prepare study reports, engineering specifications, and contract documents.
  • Review project documents and drawings for technical quality and accuracy.
  • Prepare design work packages including scope, duration, and level of effort estimates.
  • Prepare signed/sealed engineering deliverables as a Professional of Record (PoR)
  • Support other engineering projects as part of the Ensero Engineering Team.
  • Provide technical input to projects within your area(s) of expertise.
  • Supports risk analysis with project management.
  • Work in collaboration with the business development team to participate in client meetings, and in the development of project proposals for existing and future customers.
  • Build and maintain client relationships through ongoing communication and understanding of client goals.
  • Travel to potential and existing work sites to interface with on-site staff, vendors, and customers.
  • Monitor and promote system environmental health and worker safety compliance.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to operations to ensure assigned functions are efficient and cost-effective.
  • Manage special projects that support the broad-based needs of a rapidly expanding company
  • All other related duties as required.


About You

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical, Environmental or Process Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng) required.
  • 7+ years of engineering experience in industrial and mine water treatment projects.
  • Familiarity with water treatment technologies and environmental regulations.
  • Experience managing engineering design.
  • Experience working in environmental consulting or project consulting settings.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and oral communication
