Job Overview: We are looking for a Manufacturing Subject Matter Expert (SME) to contribute to the company's ongoing growth by supporting our AI initiatives. This role entails identifying required manufacturing operations and processes - such as machining, fabrication, or forging and identifying supplier requirements. Knowledge of machining, metal fabrication, welding, 3D printing, injection molding, and other common manufacturing processes is required. This is a contract role with flexible hours providing on average between 10-20 hours per week of work.

What you'll bring:
- General computer capabilities including email, internet and teleconferencing tools
- Ability to read 2D prints or other engineering drawings
- Expert understanding of manufacturing principles including metal fabrication, machining, injection molding, 3D printing, and other job shop processes.
- 10+ years relevant manufacturing work experience in either, or combination of, machining, estimating, or supplier sourcing
- Ability to evaluate supplier capabilities to perform specific work based on review of supplier website information
- Must be a U.S citizen due to the nature of the data and consent to a background check, but no security clearance is required
- Competent written and oral communication skills
- Access to a computer and internet
- Provide technical expertise to identify manufacturing processes and supplier requirements.
