Essential Functions:

  • Drive continuous improvement across all operations’ departments by championing efficiency ideas and cost reduction measures.
  • Create systems and processes to successfully deliver operational targets, budgets, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and related scorecards for measurement.
  • Plan and develop logistics and operational strategies that meet and exceed organizational pro forma and operating margin targets, providing action-oriented budgets and deadlines.
  • Regularly work hands-on with and be present with logistics, warehouse, and distribution operating company leaders.
  • Oversee capital investment projects and be directly involved with selection and installation.
  • Ensure company integration standards and timelines are being followed and improved upon.
  • Develop and lead strategic execution of site, region, and corporate initiatives with respect to:
  • Inbound and Outbound Warehouse Management
  • Facilities Management, including building, grounds, power industrial equipment, sanitation, and security
  • Transportation Management, including routing, delivery, and backhaul
  • Current and new company systems, such as ERP/WMS/CRM/Route Optimization software
  • Actively support other departments in the achievement of site and region goals.
  • Oversee and provide leadership to inventory control, logistics, warehouse, and distribution operations in a scaling company with an energetic and creative atmosphere
  • Develop/Enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for optimal performance and develop a company-wide QOS
  • Plan and develop operational strategies for processing crew, repack crew, organize daily inventory count, monitor incoming product deliveries
  • Regularly work hands on with data entry of processing assignments, repack assignments, inventory adjustments, and communication with warehouse supervisors
  • Support Food Safety in ensuring company standards and procedures related to food safety are being strictly adhered to and improved upon
  • Ensure company standards and procedures related to insurance, risk management, and workplace safety are being observed at all times
  • Collaborate with other executive team members to create a cohesive leadership unit
  • Share thoughts and ideas of potential improvements with management and other teams leaders

Compensation:

  • $90,000 base + 10% discretionary bonus

Competencies, Education, and Experience:

  • Innovative and creative thinking
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field. MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations or warehouse management, or a related field, preferably as a VP of Operations or similar role.
  • Proficient PC skills in CRM and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems- Produce Pro, Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and common E Mail systems.

Physical Demands:

  • Stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Travel (50% - 75%) by auto or by flying commercial or privately as required.
