Salary Range: ($75,000 to $80,000) depending on experience and qualifications.

Overview

As a Medical Case Manager with Managed Care Advisors, working in your home office on Federal contracts, you will be responsible for a professional assessment of long-term cases. Using your clinical knowledge and nursing experience, you will provide detailed case review summaries while collaborating with a dedicated team. Ideal candidates will possess critical thinking skills with the ability to organize, and articulate in writing and verbally, and are motivated to work independently in a home office setting while still being part of a supportive team.

Medical Case Manager Responsibilities

  • Utilize strong reading and writing skills to conduct retrospective case reviews.
  • Prepare professional reports, letters, and meeting notes.
  • Through an application of a unique mix of knowledge and experience, support a large Federal Agency contract, including services within federal workers’ compensation, regulated by the Federal Employees Compensation Act (FECA).
  • Using professional judgment, develop a case management plan for each case throughout the various stages of resolution.
  • Provide medical expertise and serve as the critical communication link among the parties involved in the management of the case.
  • Work independently in your home office setting while still being part of a supportive team.

Medical Case Manager Qualifications

  • Unrestricted State Registered Nursing License
  • Bachelor's or AA degree or diploma in nursing
  • 3-5 years related clinical experience in medical case management, occupational health, and/or a comparable field.
  • Demonstrated professional writing skills (Writing samples required)
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Results-driven with effective collaboration skills
  • Attention to detail and timetables
  • Commitment to completing tasks
  • Conscientious with a commitment to quality
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows
  • Established Home office with internet router and Ethernet port in the office
  • Cable or Fiber Optic Internet connection
  • United States Citizenship
  • Upon hire, federal security clearance will be required. Federal clearance coordinated by MCA
  • Ability to pass a preliminary credit and background check
  • Commitment to full-time employment

Sedgwick Government Solutions provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency in job postings. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of a specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is $75,000- $80,000.
