Job Description:

A5 Project Managers work with consultants and clients to implement solutions around Salesforce.com. This job function is responsible for overseeing the production of deliverables, managing and running complex enterprise projects, ensuring timely closeout of requirements and projects, providing timely status updates to the clients, and working closely with various technical and non-technical team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and take responsibility for the successful completion and timeliness of Salesforce projects within a set budget and schedule.
  • Project Kick-Off: Work with internal stakeholders to transition clients from Business Development to Delivery. Facilitate business and functional requirements definition, translate project goals, the scope of work, budget, timeline, and prioritize requirements.
  • Proactive Project Planning: Produce a detailed delivery schedule by facilitating the team to plan out more detailed design and development cycles; identify key dates that require client interactions and meetings.
  • Set Project Cadence: Schedule regular touchpoints with team and client that is right for the project.
  • Communication Management: Tailor your communication style or method depending on the situation and recipient. Run effective meetings by stating agenda and goals. Keep client and internal stakeholders informed of project progress. Lead client and internal project team meetings.
  • Project Administration: Ensure all project documentation is created, reviewed, and maintained to industry standards. Prepare reports for clients and internal management regarding the status of projects and address issues/concerns when appropriate.
  • Drive Delivery: Own and execute the project according to A5 Methodology with mindfulness of the SOW’s contractual obligation. Good understanding of Agile based sprints methodology and knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Projects etc. for project management
  • Budget Management: Maintain project budget by setting expectations with team and client on budget availability, raise your hand when the budget is at risk and proactively propose next steps to manage budget risk.
  • Task Management: Ensure that the team understands the tasks associated with the project, when they need to be accomplished, and level of effort.
  • Change Management: Manage changes during projects by understanding the ask and goals. Assess the impact of changes and recommend the best course of action.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify roadblocks and risks, and take the initiative to facilitate solutions.
  • Look for opportunities: Take initiative to identify and articulate multiphase and managed services opportunities.
  • Participate in internal projects as required.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Preferred Certifications (Optional):

  • Salesforce Administrator
  • Salesforce CPQ Specialist
  • Salesforce Sales Cloud

Requirements:

  • At Least 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager within a consulting environment.
  • Experience managing multiple client projects at one time (including but not limited to implementations, upgrades, and new installations).
  • Strong time management skills as you’ll have multiple priorities to focus on in a week that often change based on client demands.
  • Deep understanding of project management methods and processes with the ability to apply them to projects.
  • SCRUM certifications or expertise is a plus.
  • The ability to be self-directed and work in an ambiguous and dynamic environment.
  • Strong business and technical acumen.
  • Salesforce certifications are preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce.com platform and delivery process.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce solution design, object schema / system architecture, Salesforce technical requirements specifications is a plus.
  • Experience leading or participating in business process re-engineering (BPR) or requirements gathering activities is a plus.
  • Great educational background, preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering for technical project managers
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication.
