Product Designer, User Experience (UX) is responsible for creating exceptional experiences for all users of Graebel's technology platform. Our internal design presence is a budding department so this role will have the opportunity to shape and influence the design practice of our organization from the ground up. This role will ensure customer satisfaction across all devices and applications. The Product Designer will collaborate with our product management team to build a forward--thinking strategy based on market research, user psychology and digital design best practices and innovations - all while transferring the Graebel brand's strengths and personality seamlessly throughout the product.


Principal/ Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy

  • Contribute to product strategy across Graebel's technology platforms that create great user experiences, streamline operations and ultimately drive growth for the company
  • Create and maintain user personas, customer journeys, workflows and other UX artifacts to communicate user insights and guide decision-making
  • Collaborate with Product to determine, assess, and monitor user KPIs for launched products
  • Lead cross-functional design and receive proper approvals and buy-in
  • Be a passionate advocate for the user at every stage in the product development process


Research

  • Map out and lead iterative user testing efforts across the product life cycle to assess for value and usability
  • Routinely supply Product team with rich user insights to help guide strategy and product roadmap
  • Apply a wide range of user research methods including deep dive interviews, surveys, usability testing, concept testing, card sorts, etc
  • Regularly consolidate research findings to present to senior leadership/key stakeholders
  • Be an enthusiastic and knowledgeable champion of user research within the organization


Interface Design

  • Enhance user experience by creating simple and intuitive user interfaces that enable integrations and personalization
  • Stay up to date on latest design trends, best practices, and innovations for B2B and B2B2C users.
  • Create wireframes and prototypes to communicate design solutions and demonstrate user interactions while supporting product strategy
  • Craft pixel perfect high-fidelity screens which are visually appealing and user friendly while staying true to systems thinking
  • Grow and maintain Design System standards, guidelines, and components to ensure consistency, efficiency, and accessibility across our digital products
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.

Performs other related essential duties as assigned or requested.


Required Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with all levels of stakeholders, both internal and external to the organization
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to give effective presentations to all levels of the organization including Senior Management and engage with clients
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents, professional journals, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write complex reports, detailed business correspondence, policies, and procedures.
  • A portfolio that consistently demonstrates the application of empathy, imagination and information when solving design challenges
  • Highly proficient in Figma and Miro


Required Experience

  • 5 years of experience as a UX/Product Designer, preferably in SaaS environments.
  • Proven success in leading and/or working in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Experience with B2B2C platforms is preferred
  • Mobility industry experience is an asset but not required
  • Bachelor's degree in design/human-computer interaction/related field (or equivalent work experience)


As a testament to our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, our salary bands are transparent both internally and as a part of our external recruitment process. The targets for this role are dependent on market/ geographic location and range from $80,000-$130,000 CAD.
