Psychologist
We are seeking a dedicated Psychologist to join our team at an innovative research institute on a part-time, project-based contract. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in psychology to support various research projects and contribute to the advancement of mental health initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Therapeutic Support:Provide individual and group therapy sessions to research participants, utilizing evidence-based approaches to address their mental health needs.
- Psychological Assessments:Administer and interpret psychological assessments to evaluate participants' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral patterns.
- Research Collaboration:Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams to design studies, collect data, and analyze findings related to mental health and well-being.
- Consultation:Offer consultation services to researchers and clinicians on psychological theories, methodologies, and best practices.
- Psychoeducation:Develop and deliver psychoeducational workshops and training sessions on various mental health topics for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Crisis Intervention:Provide timely crisis intervention services to individuals experiencing acute psychological distress or emergencies.
- Empowerment and Advocacy:Advocate for the mental health needs of research participants and promote empowerment through community engagement and awareness campaigns.
- Collaborative Research:Contribute to publications, presentations, and grant proposals by providing psychological insights and expertise.
- Education:Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Licensure:Licensed Psychologist with a current and valid state license to practice psychology.
- Experience:Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical practice, research, or a related field.
- Specialization:Expertise in areas such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, child psychology, or other specialized areas is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in research methodologies and statistical analysis
- Compassion:Demonstrated empathy, sensitivity, and a commitment to promoting mental health and well-being.
- Ethics:Adherence to ethical guidelines and professional standards in all aspects of practice and research.
