As a Pythian Data Scientist, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling to deliver insights and build predictive models. You will work on both internal IP development and client projects, applying a variety of techniques to solve complex business problems. Additionally, you will use and fine-tune pre-trained models, such as Large Language Models (LLMs), to accelerate development and enhance model performance.
What will you be doing?
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources to extract meaningful insights.
- Develop and implement machine learning models, including both supervised and unsupervised techniques.
- Fine-tune and adapt pre-trained models (e.g., LLMs) for specific use cases and client projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and domain experts, to develop data-driven solutions.
- Build predictive models and algorithms that address complex business challenges.
- Communicate results and insights effectively to stakeholders through data visualizations and reports.
- Stay current with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and AI, with a focus on the practical application of pre-trained models and cutting-edge technologies.
- Develop and maintain internal IP around advanced analytics, model development, and AI-driven tools.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Ph.D. is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related role.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R and experience with data science libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Hands-on experience with pre-trained models such as Large Language Models (LLMs) or other deep learning frameworks.
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization techniques.
- Experience working with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data findings into actionable business insights.
- Experience with client-facing projects or in a consulting environment is a plus.
