Product Manager
Affinity
ContractOn behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Product Manager on a part-time basis.
Responsibilities:
• Working with a multidisciplinary team to promote internet-era ways of working and providing strategic direction
• Fostering the use of Agile methods for product delivery, including daily standups, working in sprints, managing features and product backlogs in tools such as
• Jira and Confluence, delivering minimum viable products and continuous improvement.
• Leading sprint planning, scrum meetings and retrospectives.
• Collaborating with the service owner to understand their business requirements and processes, along with providing recommendations based on experience and best practices.
• Communicating with the service owner for decisions and/or direction tied to priorities and sprint activities.
• Participating in and supporting testing activities (as required).
• Guiding the product release cycle, acceptance testing, and training internal clients.
• Communicating changes to testing resource(s) and ensuring completion of test activities and outcomes
• Documenting user stories and tasks and product backlog
• Developing and maintaining functional/business requirements and technical documentation
• Creation of release notes
Qualifications:
• A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of six (6) years of related experience
• Experience with sprint planning and scrum management
• Use of JIRA and Confluence
• Product Management experience. Experience removing complexity from products and services, to help make it easy for people to do the things they need to do.
• Demonstrate experience creating, maintaining, and prioritizing product backlogs;
• Experience with Agile Software Delivery, and the different roles/activities required;
• Expertise working with design thinking/human-centered design;
• Ability to prioritize and manage high-level tasks under tight deadlines, exhibiting sound judgment under pressure;
• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with a knack for conveying information effectively to clients, peers, and leadership;
