Responsibilities
- Format and copy-edit new examination items, making necessary editorial and formatting updates in databases before and after meetings.
- Upload finalized items, multimedia, and metadata into the database.
- Assist in producing computer- and web-based examinations, providing quality control as needed.
- Track and manage newly developed content using online item writing and review applications, communicating with authors to ensure completeness and appropriateness.
- Set up access for authors and reviewers to applications, and assist with troubleshooting login and access issues.
- Create and maintain media collections for item authors, coordinating with the multimedia services team to generate production-ready assets.
- Assemble examination materials for review, utilizing databases to run reports, compile metrics, and update editorial calendars.
- Provide editorial and technical support for both onsite and remote committee meetings.
- Compile copyright materials in compliance with legal standards.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for software enhancements.
- Ensure the accuracy of examination items, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style.
- Ensure correct entry of items into databases.
- Process exam materials accurately and promptly.
- Support quality control of examination forms and item pools.
- Participate in training and incorporate feedback for professional development.
- Meet assigned deadlines and adhere to procedures and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with team members and external collaborators.
- Support and embody the culture and values of the organization.
Skills And Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Strong grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills
- Proficiency in working with databases
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel)
- Problem-solving and technical troubleshooting abilities
- Detail-oriented and adaptable
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- One year or less of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
