We make good investments in our people, properties, tenants, and company.

CCI is a nationwide full-service real estate platform focused on the acquisition, asset management, property management, and development. Our current property portfolio consists of around 8,000 apartments and townhomes, with a particular focus on providing affordable housing for seniors and persons with disabilities. We also own and manage a diverse and growing portfolio of other real estate assets covering traditional multifamily rentals, office, and light industrial uses. CCI employs around 400 associates in 34 states across the country and we’re growing!

As we embark on the next phase of our company's growth, we seek associates who can help us take our management platform to new heights. We need individuals who are not afraid to dig in, optimize our systems, tools, and processes, and enhance our reputation for excellence. We're looking for ambitious self-starters who value collaboration and open communication. For those who challenge the status quo and find better ways of doing things, we offer recognition and rewards. While we provide classroom learning and structured training, we believe that hands-on experience and self-directed development are key to success. Join us and be a part of our journey to success.

About The Role

As a Regional Manager at California Commercial Investment Group, Inc. (CCI), you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our property management team. Your leadership skills will be put to the test as you guide a team of Property Managers and their direct reports, as well as a portfolio of properties. Your experience as a confident and capable people manager will enable you to manage your team remotely and achieve the optimal balance between resident satisfaction, asset preservation, compliance, and investor returns.

Your passion for real estate and property management will drive your efforts to deliver exceptional results. You will be an excellent communicator who can interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels with confidence and poise. Your ability to learn quickly and teach effectively will be critical to your success, as you help your team members absorb, embrace, and adopt new concepts. You will be comfortable with ambiguity and have the confidence to make decisions, even with incomplete or imperfect information.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the business while advancing your career. We are looking for a leader who can juggle multiple competing priorities, react, and recalibrate quickly without missing a beat as situations evolve. If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply!

What will you be doing?

  • Leadership and Management: Lead by example, displaying a strong commitment to CCI’s overall goals and business objectives and acting in line with our CCI Credo commitments to integrity, top-notch communication, and excellence across all our business activities. You'll need to build strong relationships with your team as well as a variety of internal and external stakeholders, continuing to enhance CCI’s reputation as a leading property owner/operator and employer of choice.
  • Portfolio Performance: Ensure that every property in your portfolio achieves peak performance, which we define as each asset achieving the optimal balance between the sometimes-competing goals of 1) full occupancy, 2) satisfied residents and staff teams, 3) compliance with all applicable laws, programs, and regulations, 4) safe, clean and comfortable homes for our residents, 5) strong cash flow & investor returns.
  • Customer Service & Service Standards: Establish clear customer service expectations, and ensure those expectations are met. Take personal responsibility for clear, efficient, and timely communication with residents, staff, and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Budgeting & Financial Management: Maximize revenue by managing occupancy and leasing effectively, creating a well-executed budget, and achieving our financial objectives for each asset.
  • Program Compliance: Work collaboratively with our in-house Compliance Department, National Maintenance and Accounting to ensure all properties within your portfolio comply with all applicable Federal, State, local, and lender requirements.

How do I succeed in this role?

  • Take initiative: Understanding the goal, developing a plan, and delivering it
  • Be Inquisitive: Not afraid to ask good questions and to challenge the status quo to find better ways to do things
  • Be Tech-savvy: Leverage technology to help increase efficiency and optimize organizational and individual performance
  • Be a Good Communicator: Value excellent communication and collaboration; ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, verbally and in writing
  • Be Detailed-oriented: Understanding and appreciating the importance of the details while seeing the big picture
  • Be Flexible: Willing to go above and beyond and can adapt quickly to changing circumstances

Are you curious about the experience CCI is after? Look no further! We're seeking individuals with the right skills and know-how to help drive our company to new heights - to become a part of a team that values innovation, expertise, and collaboration.
