“Diversity and inclusion are on the very top of our agenda. Not only because we know this is critical for our future success, but more importantly because supporting fairness, healthy structures, and contributing to justice in our society are fundamental to our values and culture. Let’s continue to Make Room in 2024 and show how good we can be at this,”

says Helge Krogsbøl, CEO at Heimstaden.

Help Heimstaden Make Room through our Diversity Board!

Our Friendly Workplace and our teams should reflect the world we live in, in terms of gender, ethnicity, religion, visible or invisible disabilities, age and sexual orientation. One of our core initiatives is to Make Room for differences and we want to increase the pace. To be successful we need to listen to voices from our organization. To listen to those who see where we have unintentionally created structures and barriers preventing us from being truly inclusive and equal, preventing us from seeing all our talents in whatever shape they come.

The Diversity Board helps us identify and propose actions for improvements and helps us see a different reality than the perspective of management meetings and board rooms.

How does it work?

The Diversity Board consist of six employees from different parts of Heimstaden. The mandate is for one year and the group meets digitally eight times and physically at kick-off after summer. Two times per year, representatives are invited to Group Management meetings to present findings and ideas for actions. The Diversity Board is facilitated by Anette Konar Riple, Group Director Social Sustainability.

You can read more about the Diversity Board here on the intranet.
