Passport Admissions: New Student Coordinator

Do you want:

  • A fun yet intellectually stimulating remote job, the kind where you can actually tell people what you do without them falling asleep?

  • The flexibility to work from wherever you want? (Yes, even from a secret superhero lair. We won't tell.)

  • To work for a company that you can believe in?

Since 2007, Passport Admissions has helped over 2000 students achieve their admissions goals. We help students with personality (and let's face it, some without) take ownership of the admissions process, get into the schools of their dreams, and prepare for successful careers. We also have a knack for funky dance moves but only showcase them on special occasions.

You will work directly with Passport Founder Rob Humbracht and a handful of business savvy magicians, pulling day-to-day success rabbits out of all sorts of hats.

Are you:

  • Very responsive by email, text, and phone?

  • Able to confidently tell students what’s in their best interest, whether or not that means signing up for Passport’s services?

  • Technology-curious, especially when it comes to AI?

  • A self-starter who can work remotely without someone peeking over your shoulder? (Except for maybe your cat. That's allowed.)

Then, we’re looking for you. No admissions experience needed, but it would be helpful if you went through a competitive admissions process yourself so that you can more easily put yourself in the shoes of our students.

New Student Coordinator Responsibilities:

As a New Student Coordinator at Passport Admissions, you will be the first point of contact for potential scholars itching to turn their academic dreams into reality. Here’s what you’ll be tasked with:

1. Initial Communication and Consultation

  • Serve as the primary communicator for incoming inquiries, responding swiftly and effectively through email, text, and occasionally phone.

  • Join initial meetings with prospective students alongside our advisors to provide a seamless introduction to our services.

*Initial meetings are most often held in the afternoon / early evening PST, so some availability on evenings / weekends is preferred.*

2. Student Enrollment and Onboarding

  • Guide new students through the enrollment process, ensuring they understand the value and details of our offerings.

  • Efficiently process payments and manage the administrative aspects of student onboarding.

  • Set up essential tools for each student, including access to Google Docs, to kickstart their educational journey.

3. Follow-up and Student Experience Enhancement

  • Conduct follow-up communications to confirm students are well-positioned to succeed with their personalized plans.

  • Act as a proactive troubleshooter and a compassionate point of contact for any student concerns or complaints, ensuring every issue is resolved swiftly and satisfactorily.

4. Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with Passport’s advisory and administrative teams to streamline processes and enhance the student experience.

  • Regularly update the team on student progress and any potential issues to ensure all hands are on deck for student success.

5. Feedback and Continuous Improvement

  • Gather and relay feedback from students and families to facilitate continuous improvement in our service offerings.

  • Participate in team meetings and strategy sessions to share insights and help shape the future of Passport Admissions.

6. Projects

  • As the job’s demands vary seasonally, you will have time to work on a variety of projects, tailored to your interests and skills.

Benefits - paid time off and sick leave, work-from-home reimbursement, 401k with matching, profit-sharing bonus (after one year of service).

Pay ranges from $52-$60k plus bonus for full-time, $26-$30 an hour plus bonus for part-time. Range will be determined based on experience, skills, and fit.

Hours per week - from 20 hours per week to full-time. This position is flexible and can be tailored to the availability of the right person (you?).
