Compliance & Contracts Specialist


Position Summary


The Contracts Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Contracts and Compliance Department with various functions, including municipal government registrations, Certificates of Insurance, corporate governance, contract preparation, RFP and contract review, and related administrative support


Position Details


  • Reports to: Contracts Manager

  • Location: Remote

  • Position Type: Full-Time

  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

  • Pay: Hourly

  • Compensation: Commensurate with experience

  • Travel: Less than 5%



Essential Job Functions


  • Assist with management of full cycle contract administration.

  • Review and evaluate of terms and conditions of RFP/RFQs.

  • Draft, review, evaluate, and negotiate vendor contracts and contracts with federal, state, and local customers to ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), other applicable laws, and corporate policies and guidelines.

  • Assist with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of agreements such as NDAs, Teaming Agreements, Consulting Agreements, License Agreements, Lease Agreements, and other contract documents as required.

  • Liaise with various internal departments to coordinate review and approval of RFP/RFQ and various types of contracts.

  • Prepare letters, electronic correspondence, and other documentation required for successful contract administration.

  • Assist in the maintenance, tracking, and documenting of company's compliance policies and/or practices.

  • Maintain docket and trackers for Contracts and Compliance Department.

  • Oversee and execute all matters related to certificates of insurance.

  • Assist with developing and maintaining internal policies.

  • Liaise with parent company legal department on contract, compliance, and legal issues.

  • Understand and explain compliance issues to ensure company is compliant with applicable federal and state laws, as well as company's policies and procedures.

  • Facilitate delivery of contract and client needs related to packaging and shipping.

  • Assist with audit of previous files for reconciling and file restructure.

  • Support the department with clerical and administrative tasks.




Minimum Job Requirements


  • 3-5 years of contract/compliance administration experience or a combination of education and work experience in a related field.

  • Experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures relating to federal, state and local government, and private sector contracting.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects in a changing work environment.

  • Ability to work independently and/or on a team.

  • Strong organizational and research skills.

  • Proficient computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.



Preferred Job Requirements


  • Associates degree or paralegal certificate.
