Job Description:
The Technology and Innovation Project Manager is responsible for defining the project scope and deliverables, and developing and maintaining the project plan, which outlines specific project tasks, milestone dates, and project success criteria. Work closely with the Director of Operations, the Clinical Project Manager, the Manager of Business Intelligence, and the Medical Director of Innovation to improve Ohana’s user of Epic and evaluate new technologies and functionality. Investigate, assess, and implement cost effective solutions to system and workflow issues. Conduct feasibility studies and assist with determining cost benefit/ROI for various requested projects. The Technology and Innovation Project Manager will translate user requirements into core functional requirements and work with HIT and Ohana operations to map out efficient workflows. Will play a critical role in the design and implementation of Ohana’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and is responsible for coordination with HIT and assuring that the build allows for population health analysis and measurement-based care that will guide program development and treatment planning. This individual will use their sophisticated analytical, leadership, and training skills to provide recommendations on how to optimize data collection via the electronic health record in alignment with Ohana and the Community Hospital’s strategic goals
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Provide operational, clinical, and strategic reporting and analytics by mining complex data within the Epic electronic health record system. Work with Epic Analysts to develop accurate and reliable operational reports and help design dashboards. Assist in defining and developing reporting and monitoring compliance to meet regulatory requirements. Maintain a working knowledge of billing and coding as it relates to meeting productivity/financial sustainability goals within a collaborative care model. Work with the Leadership Team to maintain providers’ input regarding proposed performance improvement strategies. In conjunction with the HIT Training Team and Ohana’s Epic Credentialed Trainers, responsible for developing and maintaining training tools to support Epic users and providers. Suggest improvements to the system, adaptation to system changes and assist departmental co-workers to learn new system changes. Create and maintain a project and technology roadmap for Ohana that is informed by our strategic goals, the enterprise-wide HIT roadmap, clinical initiatives, and regulatory requirements. Recommend, update, and lead the development of application workflows. Actively participate in manager meetings, provider meetings, educational seminars, and in-services, as needed. Work independently on routine assignments and strive to improve skills & problem-solving abilities. Serve as a liaison between Ohana Operations and HIT for technical initiatives and other HIT related issues. Other duties may be assigned based on organizational needs

Three or more years of data analytics experience in healthcare Strong knowledge and expertise in project management Knowledge and expertise in Epic, Epic Ambulatory Certification within 90 days. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. Experience in budgeting, coding, business case development, and cost-benefit analyses Proficient organizational, written, verbal, and presentation skills. Experience collaborating between information technology and practice operations. Ability to understand, map, and suggest improvements to clinical workflow processes. Proficient organizational, written, verbal and presentation skills
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred. Three years or more of experience in a healthcare-related or business administration field; understanding of outpatient care, behavioral health care, pediatric care, and/or population health preferred. Two or more years of experience with Project Management. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate across all levels of the organization. Works well independently and collaboratively; is a self-motivator and team oriented
LICENSURE and/or CERTIFICATIONS:
Epic Ambulatory certified within 90 days of hire. PMP certified within 6 months of hire
