The Role Youll Play:

As a Full Stack Engineer at CB Insights you will be part of a cross-disciplinary, self-motivated team with clear ownership and passion to form the future. Our crew uses state-of-the-art technologies and writes quality code that ships often.

Our full-stack software engineers work with JavaScript (React), HTML, CSS, Webpack, Python, Go, MySQL, and other technologies to build coherent and dynamic user interfaces that make deep insights comprehensible to our users. In this role you will be building both UI components with React and back-end endpoints with Python, Go, and MySQL in a microservices architecture. We focus on modularity and reuse where it makes sense, while ensuring that there are no constraints to delivering world-class software continuously.

Your Main Tasks:

• As the primary front-end engineer on the team, you will keep our architecture and tech stack up to date and take the lead on all front-end tasks
• Develop reusable UI components in React
• Develop back-end infrastructure and microservices using Python, Go, and MySQL
• Develop features for our next generation market intelligence platform on a small Agile team
• Consistently and frequently deliver solutions that are well-engineered, maintainable and tested within the agreed upon timeframe
• Participate in code reviews and sprint planning, help identify opportunities, work through challenges and share knowledge with colleagues
• Collaborate with the product team to understand business requirements

What you bring to the table:

• A Full Stack engineer, with 3+ years of experience, who is passionate about coding and who is eager to continue to learn the craft through experience in the field.
• Experience with building React components that follow best practices and are performant
• Experience building back-end microservices, Python and Go experience
• Solid understanding of modern web application development processes and standard methodologies.
• Job will be about a 70/30 split, where 70% of the time is front-end specific work
• Believer in Lean and Agile values and principles for building software

Please note this is a US-based role.

In addition to base salary, this role is also eligible for a bonus opportunity.
