We are proud to partner with a rapidly growing contractor based out of Long Island, one of the Tri-State area's most respected and rapidly growing concrete contractors. Founded in 2014, this contractor specializes in a diverse range of projects including commercial and residential concrete construction, reinforced concrete structures, structural and architectural concrete work, civil infrastructure, excavation, concrete repairs, ADA-compliant ramps, curbs and sidewalks, parking lots and garages, and helical pile installations.
Your New Role
As a Concrete Estimator, reporting directly to senior leadership, you will play a key role in the preparation of accurate and competitive bids for a wide variety of concrete construction projects throughout the Long Island region.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of estimating experience within the concrete construction industry
- Experience estimating reinforced concrete, structural concrete, site concrete, or civil concrete projects
- Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents
- Proven experience performing quantity takeoffs and developing detailed project budgets
- Knowledge of concrete means and methods, production rates, labor costing, materials, and equipment
- Experience soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and bid deadlines in a fast-paced environment
