Job Description
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals.
- Perform quantity takeoffs from plans and specifications.
- Review project drawings, contracts, and bid documents.
- Obtain and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Identify project risks, opportunities, and cost drivers.
- Support value engineering initiatives.
- Collaborate with operations and project management teams to ensure successful project handoff.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and bid strategy discussions.

A Successful Estimator Should Have
- Experience estimating heavy civil construction projects.
- Background in site development, excavation, utilities, roads, highways, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
