Reporting to the Maintenance Manager
Radisson Blu Toronto Downtown is currently recruiting for a Full-Time General Maintenance Person/Parking Cleaner! In this role, you will:
- Ensure the parking facilities, surrounding grounds, and exterior areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and welcoming condition that exceeds guest expectations.
- Perform routine cleaning duties, including sweeping, litter collection, waste removal, and cleaning of stairwells, walkways, and parking areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of parking facilities and identify, report, and assist in addressing cleanliness, safety, and minor maintenance issues.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools safely, ensuring all equipment and supplies are stored properly after use.
- Make regular rounds of the property to maintain cleanliness standards, respond to emergency situations as directed, and perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring To The Table
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Technical experience in a recognized trade with a general understanding of building maintenance and operation. Previous experience in a fast-paced hotel environment would be considered an asset.
- Must be available to work five days per week, with six-hour shifts.
- Flexibility in working any shift as required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively and professionally with other departments, guests, and vendors.
- Ability to handle difficult situations and individuals diplomatically while maintaining professionalism.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting high-performance standards.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
