- High attention to detail with respect to health and safety, personal behaviour and chemistry in plating room.
- Operation of ovens
- Building load in accordance to load plan
- General housekeeping as it pertains to safety of personnel in the plating room.
- Racking and unracking parts to be plated on the automatic lineTimely transitioning parts from the plating line to the hydrogen embrittlement ovens for heat treatment
- Visual assessment of plated/stripped surface to ensure completion of operation
- Assist technician with tasks related to the ventilation, laboratory or water treatment systems
- Daily/Weekly TPM for equipment and chemical systems.
- Perform basic problem solving and troubleshoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards.
- Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by process. Monitor production process according to maintenance schedule and perform routine maintenance in timely manner.
- Follow and accurately record data as directed or required in routers, IMS and any other production tracking systems.
- Required to train other operators as needed.
- May be required to work in other departments or occasionally to set up a process for others to operate.
- Requires adequate computer skills to access production procedures to perform the required work.
- Responsible for excellent housekeeping and maintaining 5S in all areas.
- Meet the skill requirements identified in the applicable training matrix and maintain certification through company Certified Operator Program.
- Education: Grade 12 diploma
- Experience: Mechanical aptitude
