A warm and welcoming family in Scarsdale is seeking a professional, nurturing nanny to support their growing household. With a curious and interactive 2-year-old boy and a baby girl due this fall, this is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced caregiver who enjoys fostering development, creating enriching activities, and partnering closely with hands-on parents.
The Schedule:
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• 45 guaranteed hours per week
Start Date:
• Ideally by the end of September
The Children:
• A baby girl due this fall
• A 2-year-old boy who is curious, interactive, and at a wonderful stage for language development
The Family:
• A warm and welcoming family recently moved into a home in Scarsdale, located less than a mile from the train station.
• They value open communication, teamwork, and a nurturing approach to childcare.
• Both parents are hands-on and hope to partner with a caregiver to create a positive, engaging environment for their children.
The Role:
• This is a primarily childcare-focused position with an emphasis on supporting the toddler while also helping the family navigate life with a newborn.
• Create enriching, age-appropriate activities.
• Encourage language and social development.
• Support daily routines and schedules.
• Assist with child-related meal preparation.
• Maintain child-related organization and tidiness.
• Drive the children to activities and outings using a family-provided vehicle.
• The family may hire a Newborn Care Specialist during the early months, so the nanny should be comfortable collaborating with additional caregivers and parents.
You:
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
• Patient, kind, and nurturing.
• Energetic and engaging with young children.
• Experienced with both toddlers and infants.
• Comfortable supporting a growing family through the newborn stage.
• A confident driver with a valid driver's license.
Pets:
• One friendly Greyhound.
• No pet care is required beyond the occasional cuddle.
Pay:
• $35 per hour, equivalent to approximately $86,450 annually based on a 45-hour workweek.
