Hiring from: Canada

We are looking for a Senior Advisor, Talent & Culture who is passionate about contributing to the evolution of our Talent & Culture practices, culture, and strategy.

In this role, you will act both as a strategic partner to your client groups and as a key contributor to the development of our Talent & Culture strategies, programs, policies, and practices.

You will support managers and leadership teams in addressing their people and organizational challenges, while taking a broader perspective on the organization’s needs to develop sustainable and impactful solutions.

Your role sits at the intersection of HR strategy, organizational development, and business partnership. You will help translate business priorities into concrete, consistent, and measurable Talent & Culture initiatives.

What You’ll Do

TALENT & CULTURE STRATEGY

  • Actively contribute to the development and evolution of the Talent & Culture strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization’s business priorities and objectives.
  • Identify organizational trends, challenges, and needs, and recommend strategies that support performance, engagement, and organizational growth.
  • Design, develop, and continuously improve Talent & Culture policies, programs, processes, and tools in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Actively contribute to bringing our company culture to life and evolving it, ensuring alignment between our values, expected behaviours, and the employee experience across the organization.
  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional HR projects related to performance management, talent development, succession planning, engagement, employee experience, leadership, and organizational culture.
  • Translate strategic directions into concrete action plans and ensure their implementation, adoption, and continuous evolution across the organization.
  • Stay informed of emerging HR trends and best practices and recommend approaches that are relevant to our business reality and culture.
  • Leverage Talent & Culture data and metrics to identify trends, measure the effectiveness of our initiatives, and inform future decisions and priorities.

BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP & ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

  • Act as a strategic partner to managers and leadership teams within your client groups by understanding their business challenges, priorities, and talent needs.
  • Advise, coach, and challenge managers on decisions related to leadership, organizational structure, performance, engagement, and talent management.
  • Support leaders in evolving their teams and organizational structures to address both current and future business needs.
  • Support strategic talent management, including development, retention, internal mobility, high-potential identification, and succession planning.
  • Contribute to workforce planning and the identification of the capabilities and skills required to support the organization’s future objectives.
  • Support teams through organizational change and contribute to strategies that foster successful adoption.
  • Analyze employee engagement survey results, HR data, and employee feedback to identify organizational challenges and support leaders in developing relevant action plans.

HR EXPERTISE & GOVERNANCE

  • Act as a senior subject-matter resource for the Talent & Culture team and managers on complex matters requiring a high level of expertise and sound judgment.
  • Advise managers on complex employee relations, performance management, and sensitive workplace matters.
  • Lead or oversee workplace investigations and ensure situations are managed rigorously, fairly, and confidentially.
  • Ensure that Talent & Culture policies, programs, and practices comply with applicable laws and regulations and remain aligned with the organization’s strategic direction.
  • Contribute to ensuring consistency in management practices across our various properties and support leaders in the application of Talent & Culture standards and programs.
  • Work closely with other members of the Talent & Culture team to ensure a consistent employee experience and an effective allocation of responsibilities across the different levels of the team.

Of course, this list is not exhaustive. We are looking for someone who can take a step back, understand business challenges, and translate organizational needs into Talent & Culture strategies and initiatives that create a meaningful impact.

What We’re Looking For

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources, or another relevant field of study.
  • You have a minimum of seven (7) years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a business partner or senior generalist role.
  • You have experience developing or evolving HR programs, policies, and practices and are able to move seamlessly from strategic thinking to implementation.
  • You have an excellent understanding of the various HR functions and are able to connect talent-related challenges with business priorities.
  • You have strong knowledge of employment legislation and are comfortable handling complex employee relations matters.
  • Experience in the hospitality, restaurant, or multi-site environment is considered an asset.
  • You are a member of the Ordre des CRHA/CRIA or interested in pursuing membership — an asset.
  • You are able to quickly establish credibility with experienced managers and advise, influence, and challenge with tact when necessary.
  • You demonstrate excellent judgment, managerial courage, and a strong ability to navigate complex or ambiguous situations.
  • You have strong analytical skills and are comfortable using data to inform recommendations and measure results.
  • You are able to take a step back from operational issues to identify trends, root causes, and sustainable solutions.
  • You possess strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills and are comfortable managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • You are autonomous, thorough, and results-oriented, while demonstrating a strong ability to collaborate.
  • You are bilingual in French and English, enabling you to effectively support our various stakeholders.
  • You embody a culture focused on excellence, accountability, collaboration, and attention to detail.
