Follows Knowles travelers, work instructions, and procedures to apply termination to capacitors. Ensures quality standards are met while operating equipment and accurately recording production data in company systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Read travelers and Knowles procedures to select the proper termination for required parts.
- Program the Chip Star machine with the appropriate dimensions and termination type.
- Place racks of parts into the hand termination process and follow approved procedures to apply termination.
- Remove plates with pieces and dry them in the oven according to established processes.
- Inspect work to ensure compliance with quality and production requirements.
- Accurately enter production, quality, and process information into company computer systems and manufacturing databases.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, travelers, lot paperwork, and company procedures. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to learn and understand moderately complex manufacturing processes, mechanical assemblies, and basic equipment maintenance tasks.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to accurately enter, retrieve, and maintain information in company systems.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality standards, and ability to work effectively in a production environment.
- Must maintain regular and reliable attendance, adhere to established work schedules, and comply with company timekeeping and attendance policies.
- Must be flexible and willing to be cross-trained in other departments, processes, and job functions as required to support business and operational needs.
- Must be able and willing to work overtime as needed to meet production schedules and business requirements.
