Description
Position Purpose
Highland Hills, a Trinity Health Senior Community, is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to support our mission of providing exceptional care and hospitality to residents. In this role, you will help maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary kitchen environment—an essential part of ensuring high‑quality dining services and protecting residents from foodborne illness and cross‑contamination.
What You Will Do
- Set up the dishwashing and pot‑sink area prior to meal service.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils throughout service and return items to proper storage locations.
- Maintain weekly cleaning schedules for kitchen and equipment.
- Dispose of trash, boxes, cans, and bottles in designated receptacles.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors, walk‑in refrigerators, and tile dining areas.
- Wash and maintain floor mats.
- Uphold strict sanitation procedures to ensure a healthy, safe dining environment.
- Follow established closing procedures daily.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Willingness to work with hot liquids, cleaning chemicals, and contaminated materials following safety guidelines.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Comfortable working in high‑heat environments.
