Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a AML Analyst-FINTRAC EFTR. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in EFTR regulatory reporting, supporting Canada and U.S. operations within a collaborative and high-performing team. The role involves performing complex data remediations, reviewing regulatory submissions, and ensuring compliance with AML regulations under minimal supervision. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, risk awareness, and the ability to handle high-volume operational tasks efficiently.
Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $27.70/hr
Responsibilities
- Review EFTR data discrepancies and data incompleteness alerts independently.
- Remediate EFTR records by updating data fields accurately within reporting systems.
- Validate data accuracy through reconciliation, verification, and exception management.
- Analyze source documentation and transaction data to determine reporting outcomes.
- Escalate data quality issues within SLA timelines, maintaining thorough documentation.
- Draft and respond to RFIs from internal partners to resolve missing or conflicting data.
- Support operational risk management by identifying anomalies and safeguarding controls.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve regulatory processes and controls.
- Participate in audits and regulatory reviews by providing supporting documentation and insights.
- Maintain awareness of evolving AML and EFTR regulatory requirements, supporting necessary system or process changes.
- 1.5+ years of experience in FINTRAC EFTR regulatory reporting.
- Proven ability to work independently on moderate to high complexity operational tasks.
- Strong knowledge of AML regulations and EFTR requirements.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Effective time management and workload prioritization skills.
- Proven team player with excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to analyze and resolve data discrepancies efficiently.
- Previous experience working within a financial services environment.
- Prior experience with financial institutions.
- Familiarity with AML compliance tools and systems.
- Experience supporting regulatory audits and assessments.
