Shift: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Work Arrangement: 100% Remote
Role Overview
The Insurance Verification Coordinator is responsible for obtaining insurance benefits, verifying eligibility, securing prior authorizations, and ensuring accurate documentation to support timely patient care and reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, coverage, and financial responsibility for patients.
- Obtain and manage prior authorizations and pre-certifications for inpatient and outpatient services.
- Collaborate with providers, payers, scheduling teams, and revenue cycle departments to prevent authorization delays and denials.
- 2+ years of experience in Medical Billing, Hospital Patient Access, Hospital Business Office, or Revenue Cycle operations.
- Strong experience with insurance verification, eligibility, and prior authorization processes.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT codes, and ICD-10 coding.
- Hospital experience strongly preferred (physician office experience considered).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Strong communication, customer service, and analytical skills.
- Epic experience preferred.
- Healthcare revenue cycle certifications are a plus (CRCR, CRCS, CHAA, CHAM, CRCP, CRCE, CHFP).

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $26.00/hr.
