Mailroom Attendant
Location: Toronto, Ontario (Onsite)
Role Overview
The Mailroom Attendant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the corporate mailroom. This role manages incoming and outgoing mail, courier shipments, vendor deliveries, package tracking, and mailroom organization. The position ensures the efficient and accurate distribution of mail and deliveries while providing support to internal stakeholders and maintaining established office and building procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, distribute, and prepare incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and courier shipments.
- Process and coordinate courier services, ensuring timely delivery and pickup of items.
- Ensure mail and packages are delivered accurately and efficiently to the appropriate recipients.
- Follow established procedures for handling sensitive, confidential, or priority deliveries.
- Manage vendor and courier deliveries in accordance with building and office protocols.
- Act as a point of contact for courier providers, delivery personnel, and vendors.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing mail, parcels, and shipments.
- Track deliveries and provide status updates to internal stakeholders as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient mailroom environment.
- Provide professional and responsive service to employees, visitors, vendors, and couriers.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous experience in a mailroom, courier, front desk, facilities, administrative support, or office services role.
Skills:
- Ability to lift, move, and transport packages of moderate weight.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage recurring daily responsibilities.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer-service oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced office environment.
- Experience working in a corporate office environment.
- Familiarity with courier systems, delivery tracking tools, and shipping processes.
- Experience coordinating vendor deliveries and office logistics.
- Experience maintaining records and tracking shipments.
- Knowledge of mailroom, facilities, or workplace services best practices.
