What You’ll Do
As a Blaster Helper, you will assist the blaster in charge in performing blast site duties. Y ou will be responsible for loading products (bulk and packaged) into delivery trucks in a reliable and secure manner. Other duties will include:
- Perform all blast site duties under the supervision of a blaster in charge.
- Assist in blast design and layout of drill patterns.
- Assist blaster with blast reports via data entry.
- Assist with blast site hazard assessments to ensure the blast site is a safe work environment for all involved.
- Ensure that all equipment to be used daily is clean and in good operating condition including vehicles used for delivery of explosives products.
- Transport explosives in a safe and efficient manner via delivery truck.
- Proactively support safety programs by participating in training and safety meetings.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior manual labor experience preferred
- Ability to read, write and speak English and to communicate in written and verbally
- Ability to work primarily outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment where required.
- Required to lift up to 25 Kg’s.
- Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
- Must have a full and valid driver's license
- Pay Range: 33$
