About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated software engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This hybrid role requires working at least three days a week from our downtown San Francisco hub. As a core member of our team, you will be instrumental in building impactful technology that transforms the legal industry and improves the lives of millions of injury victims. You will be responsible for developing innovative solutions, deploying production-ready code, and collaborating across departments to deliver high-quality products. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on first-of-a-kind technology, tackle complex problems, and contribute to a fast-paced environment where your work has immediate and tangible impact.

Qualifications

  • 5-10+ years of experience in backend, frontend, or full-stack software engineering.
  • Proficiency with relational databases and other database technologies.
  • Experience building high-quality, scalable, and production-ready software solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work cross-functionally with teams such as data engineering and DevOps.
  • Proven track record of owning projects from inception to completion and driving them to successful delivery.
  • Experience mentoring and uplifting team members to foster a culture of excellence.
  • Demonstrated success in building scalable products and contributing to team culture.
  • Kubernetes experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy impactful technology solutions that improve legal processes and outcomes.
  • Contribute to building the foundational blocks of EvenUp's core software products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore and implement innovative solutions.
  • Work on projects involving machine learning, data engineering, back-end, front-end, and DevOps technologies.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Mentor junior team members and promote best practices within the engineering team.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate them to enhance product capabilities.
  • Assist in infrastructure updates and optimize workflows for scalability and efficiency.
