An exciting opportunity has arisen at Monnow Vale Integrated Health and Social Care Facility on Trefynwy Ward, a 19-bed GP-led unit. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Health Care Support Worker to join our dedicated and professional nursing team, providing high-quality care and support to our patients and helping to deliver excellent nursing care in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Main duties of the job
Please note: This post is currently advertised at Band 2. The role is currently under review within the Health Board as part of a national evaluation process and may, in the future, progress to Band 3, supported by a revised job description.

Trefynwy Ward is a friendly and supportive team seeking to recruit enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care. We are looking for candidates who are committed to providing excellent care and support to patients, their families, and carers within a hospital environment.
The successful applicant will ideally have strong written and verbal communication skills, along with basic computer literacy. They will be a positive team player, adaptable to change, and committed to supporting colleagues and contributing to continuous service improvement. An NVQ Level 2 qualification is desirable but not essential.
Trefynwy Ward is a 19-bed GP-led rehabilitation unit, caring for patients with a range of needs and supporting them in their rehabilitation journey. The role involves working 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
This post is currently advertised at Band 2. The role is under review within the Health Board as part of a national review and may, in future, progress to Band 3 with an updated job description. If appointed, your manager will ensure you are kept informed and will support you through any changes, including discussing relevant training requirements
