What You’ll Be Doing

As an Electrician, you’ll be part of a skilled team responsible for maintaining, repairing, and inspecting electrical systems in commercial buildings to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Your Day-to-day Will Include

  • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Performing routine maintenance on lighting, panels, breakers, and emergency systems.
  • Completing electrical inspections and ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards.
  • Coordinating with other trades and operational teams for seamless service delivery.
  • Responding promptly to service calls and electrical-related emergencies.
  • Adhere to Edon’s Quality Management System policies as well as OHS legislation and regulation
  • Interact and establish good customer relationships with client contacts

What do you need to succeed?

  • Alberta Journeyperson Electrician certification (or recognized Red Seal equivalent).
  • We also welcome applications from 3rd and 4th-year registered Electrical Apprentices eager to grow with us.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a commercial or facilities-based electrical role.
  • Clean driver’s abstract and valid driver’s license.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, systems, and safety protocols.
  • Proficiency with electrical tools, diagnostic equipment, and systems troubleshooting.
  • Solid time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces, as required.
  • Customer-focused attitude with a strong attention to detail.

Assets

  • Experience working in commercial real estate environments.
  • Additional training in building automation or energy management systems.
