Purpose
Site Maintenance Labourers assist the Site Maintenance & Services team in completing diverse maintenance projects both onsite, and in the camp.
The Red Chris Mine Site Services team is recruiting for a Labourer opening with a competitive hourly rate of $35.45, with additional benefits.
We are seeking an individual for a Fly-In, Fly-Out opportunity working on a two-weeks-in, two-weeks-out rotation.
Essential Duties
Reporting to the Site Maintenance Supervisor, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Strong commitment and adherence to all Safety Policies and Procedures
- Operate a variety of trucks to support maintenance efforts around site, including gravel, water and septic trucks.
- Assist with other maintenance activities as required.
- Demonstrate continuous improvement to enhance operations..
- Ability to perform labouring and other tasks in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision once familiar with requirements.
- A team player that works well with others.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and MS Outlook preferred, SAP experience a distinct asset.
- Ability to mentor and train less experienced team members.
- Other duties as required.
Position Requirements Include, But Are Not Limited To
- A Valid Class 3 drivers license, with Air Brakes endorsement required
- Minimum of 2-5 years in related experience required.
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Candidates to provide information regarding Safety Program related training & experience, Equipment specific training and skills plus other trades related tickets and certificates
- Ability to work at heights.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Mechanically inclined to work with different trades.
- Ability to operate different kind of equipment including but not limited to telehandler, skid steer, and manlifts.
- Assist in Hydro-vac operations.

The expected hourly rate for this role is CA$35.54 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
