Position Overview:Armour Transportation is seeking a dedicated Dispatcher to join our team. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth movement of equipment and freight while maintaining clear communication with drivers and internal teams.
Location:Moncton, NB
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00pm - 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with departments, terminals, and customers to eliminate barriers in the movement of equipment and freight.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, ensuring they have the necessary paperwork and information to complete their tasks successfully.
- Support internal teams by addressing special circumstances and ensuring planning and revenue considerations are accounted for.
- Additional terminal specific duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and capable of making analytical decisions.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to guide and communicate effectively with groups.
- Analytical problem-solving skills, including the ability to negotiate win-win solutions.
- Familiarity with the Truck Mate system is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to create reports using Word and Excel.
- Strong typing and computer skills.
- Fast-paced environment.
- High volume of communication with customers and drivers via email, satellite, and phone.
