In this role, you will be a key part of a dynamic field team, responsible for the maintenance, installation, and calibration of critical equipment. You will work on a variety of systems, including compressor panels, RTUs, and production facility equipment, while ensuring all operations adhere to strict environmental and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a continual focus on safety and adhere to all company environmental, health, and safety policies.
- Technical Execution: Complete cutting, threading, bending, and assembling rigid, aluminum and conduit systems.
- Install and maintain EMT and PVC piping systems, batteries, solar panels, voltage regulators, MCC equipment, heat trace, and VFD’s.
- Interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to better help execute electrical installation and troubleshooting.
- Understand and execute basic circuit fundamentals, alternating current circuit properties, heating and cooling systems, magnetic control and switching circuits, three phase systems, transformers, machines, control and switching/PLC, fire alarm systems, red seal programs, industry network, and applications of electronics.
- Test electrical equipment and components for current, voltage and OHMS.
- Responsible for material ordering, and QAQC documents directly associated with the project at hand.
- System Maintenance: Work with continuity meters, gas detection controllers, and live process equipment, ensuring proper isolation and de-pressurization procedures.
- Mentorship: Journeymen will be expected to work with, mentor, and support apprentices to ensure the highest quality of workmanship across the team.
- Collaboration: Assist team members with the installation and replacement of equipment in various industrial settings.
- Certification: Certified Journeyman Electrician or Indentured Apprentice.
- Experience: Previous industrial electrician field experience is required.
- Safety Tickets: Current H2S Alive and Standard First Aid are mandatory.
- Professionalism: A respectful attitude with a strong focus on customer service and exceptional communication skills.
- Reliability: A valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract and the ability to maintain a flexible work schedule.
- Physical Capability: Ability to work in diverse weather conditions, perform at heights, and meet the physical demands of a fast-paced field environment.
