Job Title: Estimator
Job Location: Richmond Hill, GA
Base Salary: $70K-$120K
Requirements: 3+ years of Civil Estimating experience on commercial, public, industrial and/environmental projects.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for heavy civil projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered for pricing and budgeting. The ideal candidate will have a background in civil engineering and a strong understanding of grading, earthwork, and utilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects
- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine scope and requirements
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary data for estimates
- Utilize B2W and Trimble Business Center software for cost estimation and project analysis
- Conduct site visits and assessments to understand project conditions and requirements
- Review and interpret contracts and agreements
- Monitor and adjust estimates based on project changes or new information
- Assist in the development of bid proposals and presentations to clients
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the heavy civil construction industry
- Proficiency in B2W and Trimble Business Center software
- Strong understanding of grading, earthwork, and utilities
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
