Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private clients, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.
 
Introduction:
Prime Hires is seeking a skilled Operations Officer I to join our client in support of an existing vacancy.

Contract Period: 6 months with potential to extend or convert
Pay Rate: $23 per hour
Location: Mississauga, ON
Location Type: Hybrid
Business Hours: Monday-Friday; 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Complete assigned workload to meet SLA requirements for service and productivity.
  • Understand and apply operating policies and procedures.
  • Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Support the timely and accurate completion of business processes and procedures.
  • Escalate non- standard or high-risk activities as necessary.
  • Support and participate in process improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure necessary due diligence to support the accuracy of all transactions / activities.
  • Be knowledgeable of and comply with Bank Code of Conduct.
  • Participate fully as a member of the team, promote team effectiveness and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Support the team by actively building operations knowledge, think critically about processes and opportunities for improvement, and share ideas.
  • Participate in personal performance management and development activities, including cross training within own team.
  • Keep others informed and up to date about all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities.
  • Contribute to a fair, positive and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for function and the bank, both internally and/or externally.
Experience & Qualification Requirements:
  • Post secondary degree required.
  • 2-4 years of Banking/ Branch experience.
  • Meeting SLAs.
  • Able to do multi-tasking.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Accuracy to detail.
  • MS office experience.
  • Comfortable working with multiple databases and applications.
  • Business Background.
