Senior Art Director

McJ is looking for a senior art director to join our Creative team. You dream big visual ideas, bring people along to get excited about them too, and ultimately bring them to life. You refine every detail at every opportunity along that journey, from ideation to final delivery. You think and execute visually on your own, and you work hand in hand with designers to reach the very best visual solutions. You compellingly articulate your vision and never rest in finding the very best visual solution for solving a business problem.

What you’ll do:

• Partner with a senior copywriter to consistently bring surprising creative solutions
• Take projects from briefing through production, working closely with creative directors
• Collaborate across concentrations, knowing what levers to pull and when to push beyond the obvious answer
• Concept and execute ideas that solve the business problems of our clients and get noticed outside of our industry
• Push for unexpected visual solutions throughout your projects
• Dream up and share innovative, proactive thinking our clients aren’t asking for
• Present work dynamically and confidently to any level of client, bringing fervor to the ideas and grounding them as solutions to our client’s business objectives
• Understand that you cannot solve the brief alone and know when to pull in partners from other concentrations
  
  
  

What you bring:

• Proficiency in standard industry software and tools, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, InDesign, Flash, Dreamweaver, After Effects, and Premier Pro
• Professional-level written and oral communication skills
• Ability to function professionally at the highest level in a fast-paced environment
• Excellence in presenting to both client and internal teams
• A strong design sense and a keen eye for visual representation
• Broad experience in on-set production
• 5-8 years of experience in an ad agency or in-house creative department
• A portfolio that spans media and category
