Position: Non-Medical Care Expert - Autism Support

Type: Part-time, project-based

Compensation: $120–$160/hour

Duration: 4–6 weeks

Commitment: ~10 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

  • Create detailed content on managing key autism-related challenges, such as sensory issues, meltdowns, nutrition, and potty training.
  • Develop guidance on childcare sourcing, sitter/nanny evaluation, and support systems for families.
  • Document approaches to community rehabilitation and long-term housing planning for adults with autism.
  • Provide expertise on parent support frameworks and family dynamics, including couples-support guidance.
  • Ensure clarity and accuracy aligned with project standards.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 8+ years of experience as a social worker, parent coach, or autism-focused support leader.
  • Proven experience advising families on common autism care challenges.
  • Deep familiarity with daycare, childcare, and community service resources.
  • Experience with housing and long-term planning for adults with special needs.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
