ABOUT THE ROLE
—
The Association for Advancing Automation (A3) is looking for a Multimedia Producer to bring our
stories to life through engaging podcasts, livestreams, and video content. This role will lead
production of our flagship shows, Automated with Brian Heater and Automate LIVE, plus support
special projects and event content that highlight the innovation shaping the automation industry.
This is a hands-on production role ideal for a creative storyteller who loves both the technical side of live production and the editorial craft of building audience engagement.
RESPONSIBILITIES—
Podcast & Livestream Production
- Produce weekly podcast and livestream episodes from concept to publication
- Manage guest booking, prep calls, tech checks, and live recording logistics
- Oversee video and audio quality, edit notes, and post-production approvals
- Write SEO-optimized titles, descriptions, and show notes
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams on thumbnails, clips, and promotion
- Publish episodes on YouTube, Spotify, Acast, and LinkedIn
- Assist in producing short-form videos and event highlight reels
- Support campaign content, email newsletters, and social video assets
- Capture and manage on-site podcast tapings at major A3 events (4–8 trips per year)
- Track podcast and video performance metrics
- Identify trends and top-performing content to guide promotion
- Report insights to marketing and leadership teams
- Research and manage submissions for industry awards
- Prepare entry materials, samples, and metrics
- 5+ years of experience in podcast, video, or livestream production
- Proficiency with Riverside.fm, Restream, OBS, or similar tools
- Strong writing skills for SEO, titles, and metadata
- Familiarity with YouTube, LinkedIn, and other video-first platforms
- Basic video editing experience (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar)
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong communicator and collaborator with cross-functional teams
- Interest in technology, automation, or storytelling within B2B industries a plus
