Capstone Infrastructure Corporation (“Capstone”) is hiring a Project Manager to join our Development Team in Montréal, Québec.


Compensation Ranges from $100,000 – $120,000 per year, plus bonus, based on relevant experience.


This newly created role will play a key part in advancing renewable energy projects - wind, solar and battery storage – from early-stage development through handoff to the construction team.


We are looking for a candidate with:

  • 3-5 years of experience in the renewable energy sector in Québec
  • Expertise in interconnection, land acquisition, environmental assessment, permitting, resource assessment, and renewable technologies
  • French as a first language, with the ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and oral
  • A strong understanding of local regulations and development practices.

Key Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

1.) Manage project development activities, including:

  • Site finding and project origination
  • Interconnection
  • Land acquisition
  • Environmental assessments
  • Stakeholder consultation and management
  • Oversee Indigenous engagement and consultant coordination
  • Local municipality, county, provincial, and federal permitting
  • Energy assessment
  • Project technical design

2.) Manage day-to-day project management activities, including:

  • Project budgeting and scheduling
  • Engaging and directing external resources.
  • Support in writing reports and correspondence related to project development and approvals.

3.) Liaise with the project execution team to ensure successful interfaces between the development and construction phases.

4.) Identify new growth opportunities, including greenfield development and prospective acquisitions.

5.) Define project scopes, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and key stakeholders.

6.) Support the development team with other project tasks as required


Qualifications and Experience:

As the ideal candidate for this position, you will have the following:

  • University degree or equivalent–bachelor’s or master’s in engineering preferred, environmental science or related undergraduate study.
  • Strong project management skills, highly organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Analytical, problem solver with the ability to work independently or in teams, and quickly learn new concepts/processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal French skills. The French language is an asset.
  • Proven ability to exercise good judgment in recognizing the scope of authority and protecting confidential information.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to travel as required(estimated at up to20%).
  • Valid driver’s license
