The National Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and strategic partnership development with the company’s most critical national accounts. By leading high-level relationship management, sales planning, and cross-functional coordination, this role ensures long-term customer success and maximizes business impact across key accounts.

Your responsibilities:

Maintain and grow relationships with 100% of assigned national accounts by conducting quarterly business reviews (QBRs), monthly check-ins, and driving YoY growth.

Develop and execute account-specific sales strategies within the first 60 days, with measurable plans aimed at achieving year-over-year revenue growth per account.

Identify and close at least 3 new business opportunities within existing accounts and add a minimum of 2 new national accounts per year.

Negotiate and finalize contracts, pricing, or promotional terms for all key accounts , achieving agreements that meet or exceed margin goals.

Track and report monthly sales performance for all assigned accounts, with variance analysis and actionable insights delivered to leadership monthly.

Participate in bi-weekly cross-functional alignment meetings and submit quarterly account plans that include input from marketing

What you bring:

  • Proven success in strategic account management, with 5+ years managing large B2B or national accounts and consistently delivering revenue growth.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation acumen, including experience leading high-value contract discussions and value-based pricing agreements.
  • A data-driven, customer-focused mindset, using insights to guide decisions while delivering exceptional service and long-term client satisfaction.
  • Clear, persuasive communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels and presenting confidently to executives.
  • A collaborative approach, working closely with marketing, operations, and product teams to align strategies and drive shared outcomes.
  • Results-oriented, adaptable, and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. (Pet industry experience a plus.)
