Vetoquinol is a pharmaceutical company dedicated to the manufacturing, distribution and marketing of animal health products, we are looking for a Regional Sales Manager, Companion Animals and Farm Animals for the Ontario region.


At Vetoquinol, our mission is to listen, understand and respond to the needs of our customers. The Regional Sales Manager maintains and increases sales and profitability for the Companion and Farm Animal segment, in line with corporate policies and objectives. This role includes managing regional sales team, key accounts and distributors while providing mobilizing leadership based on coaching and team development.


MAIN ACTIVITIES

Planning

  • Participates in the development of the strategic plan and ensures its optimal implementation to maximize sales and profitability of both segments (companion and farm).
  • Develops a coherent regional sales plan aligned with the company's strategic and marketing orientations.

Human resources management

Supervises, supports and develops territory managers covering both business areas:

  • Defines individual objectives and oversees the performance appraisal process.
  • Analyzes results in relation to established objectives and makes adjustments where necessary.
  • Monitors performance indicators (quantity, direction and quality of activities).
  • Develops and implements individual development plans, focusing on the evolution of skills.
  • Manages recruitment, training and labor relations processes.
  • Actively participates in the creation of training materials and team training.
  • Fosters a positive, motivating and inspiring team climate through a coaching-based management style.

Market relations

  • Participates in key account management and distributor relations to optimize business value.
  • Identifies new business opportunities in both segments.
  • Develops a solid network with key industry players (companion and farm).

Profitability management

  • Manages the commercial offer by adapting to local realities while respecting quality standards and profitability objectives.
  • Closely monitors the region’s expenses.

Analysis and communication

  • Produce commercial analyses (market conditions, competition, field activity).
  • Effectively communicates relevant information to sales and marketing teams.

Internal collaboration

  • Works closely with marketing teams, technical services and other departments to ensure consistency and execution of strategies.
  • Collaborates with support functions and corporate group functions.


PROFILE

  • University degree in animal health sciences (agronomy, biology, animal sciences) or administration or equivalent experience.
  • 5 à 10 years experience in territory management
  • Experience in the animal health sector (companion animals or farm animals)
  • Experience in team management with coaching approach
  • Experience in key account management
  • Knowledge of Windows environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other specific systems such as CRM

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS OF EXERCISE OF THE FUNCTION
