Purpose Statement
The Head of E-Commerce will lead Blueroot Health’s digital sales strategy, with full ownership of our Amazon and Shopify businesses. This role requires deep expertise in Amazon, strong analytical acumen, and proven experience scaling e-commerce brands. You will oversee day-to-day marketplace operations, optimize site and channel performance, and drive measurable growth in revenue, customer acquisition, and retention.

You will oversee day-to-day marketplace operations, optimize site and channel performance, and drive measurable growth in revenue, customer acquisition, and retention.
What You’ll Do (major Responsibilities)
- E-Commerce Strategy & Operations
- Own the end-to-end e-commerce strategy and execution across Amazon, Shopify, and digital platforms.
- Partner with product, design, and marketing teams to ensure the website is optimized for performance, user experience, and brand storytelling.
- Oversee analytics and reporting to track performance against KPIs and business goals.
- Amazon Leadership & Marketplace Strategy
- Serve as the company’s Amazon subject matter expert, setting strategic vision and leading all aspects of the business.
- Lead strategic planning to outperform category growth benchmarks and unlock new revenue streams.
- Translate marketplace data into actionable insights for content, pricing, promotions, and inventory planning.
- Define, track, and report against critical KPIs.
- Own Amazon PPC strategy and execution, with deep knowledge of ad structures, bidding strategies, and campaign optimization.
- Strong understanding of Amazon SEO (listings, titles, keywords, A+ content) and how to drive organic rankings alongside paid performance.
- Retention & Lifecycle Marketing
- Lead CRM, email, and SMS strategies to maximize retention and repeat purchase rates.
- Develop and execute lifecycle marketing campaigns aligned with company growth and profitability goals.
- Mentor and grow a high-performing e-commerce and digital marketing team.
- Analytics & Measurement
- Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting for campaign performance and ROI.
- Translate data and insights into actionable recommendations across channels.
- Stay ahead of AI-driven innovations in e-commerce, evaluating how tools such as predictive analytics, generative AI, and personalization engines can drive efficiency, customer experience, and competitive advantage.
- Performance Marketing
- Lead and optimize paid media (Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube, Affiliate, Programmatic) to drive acquisition and efficiency.
- Manage agency and vendor relationships, evaluating new growth opportunities.
- Own testing frameworks across creative, targeting, bidding, and channel mix.
- Own budget planning, forecasting, and performance reporting for all campaigns.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
- 7+ years of e-commerce/digital sales experience, including direct ownership of Amazon strategy and execution.
- Proven success owning a full e-commerce P&L and driving revenue growth.
- Deep understanding of Amazon’s operational levers and performance tools.
- Expertise in Amazon PPC management and SEO optimization.
- Familiarity with AI applications in e-commerce (automation, personalization, content optimization, predictive analytics).
- Expertise in paid media, CRM, lifecycle marketing, and analytics.
- Proficiency in Seller Central, Shopify, GA, Excel, and related platforms.
- Strong collaboration skills across marketing, finance, supply chain, and sales teams.
- Excellent communicator, highly analytical, and adaptable in a high-growth environment.
- CPG or supplements industry experience preferred.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and build teams.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform computer-based tasks.
- Occasionally lift or carry items up to 25 pounds.
- Willingness and ability to travel between locations as needed.
- Participate effectively in meetings, training sessions, and on-site events.
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations and work-related stress with composure and professionalism.
