Position Overview
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will serve as a key expert and collaborator within the Quality Services division, while partnering with Enterprise Intelligence & Data Analytics to support enterprise-wide initiatives. You will lead efforts in predictive modeling, machine learning, and data engineering, ensuring consistency, scalability, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role includes technical mentorship, governance participation, and strategic contributions to systemwide analytics projects.

What You Will Do
- Develop and implement best practices for data science and analytics across the organization
- Design and optimize data pipelines, automation workflows, and model deployment strategies
- Lead advanced statistical modeling, machine learning, and AI initiatives for healthcare applications
- Collaborate with Enterprise Intelligence & Data Analytics to standardize tools and frameworks
- Provide technical mentorship to data scientists and analysts
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and ethical AI standards
- Communicate complex insights to clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders
- Support health equity principles in all analytics work
- Participate in data stewardship and governance programs
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and platforms
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Experience:
- 10+ years in data science, analytics, or business intelligence (healthcare preferred)
- 7+ years in development roles focused on data science
- Certifications:
- Cogito Fundamentals, Clarity Data Model, Caboodle Data Model & Development (may be obtained after hire)
- Epic certifications in Clarity or related modules
- Microsoft SQL, Power BI, AI/ML certifications
- Six Sigma or Lean certifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure ML, Microsoft Fabric) and programming languages (Python, R, SQL)
- Lead enterprise-level data science initiatives in a respected health system
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on impactful projects
- Access cutting-edge tools and platforms for advanced analytics
- Drive innovation that improves patient outcomes and operational efficiency
