Senior Accountant

Movemedical is the leading platform for advanced inventory management in the medical device industry. Our software powers surgical planning, field inventory tracking, and supply chain coordination for some of the world’s largest med device manufacturers.

As we continue to scale, our financial operations are evolving alongside our product. We are building a reliable, audit-ready, data-driven accounting foundation that supports growth, forecasting, and operational clarity. This role plays a key part in ensuring our day-to-day accounting execution stays accurate, timely, and dependable.

You are an experienced accounting professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys owning core accounting tasks and keeping things running smoothly. You are detail oriented, comfortable working in Excel-heavy environments, and experienced with billing and AR in a SaaS or technology company.

You enjoy partnering cross-functionally; you communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and you’re energized by executing well rather than redesigning everything from scratch. You’ve worked in SaaS or similar models and understand why accuracy, documentation, and GAAP compliance matter even more as a company grows. You may not know everything yet, but you are curious, eager to learn, and motivated to grow in your accounting career over time.

• 3-5 years of accounting experience in SaaS, software, or tech environments

• Hands-on experience managing billing and AR processes

• Experience supporting month-end close activities

• Strong Excel skills in detail-heavy, manual workflows

• Experience with enterprise accounting systems (QuickBooks preferred)

• Ability to communicate clearly with Sales, HR, vendors, and leadership

• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606

• Comfort operating in environments that change quickly and require adaptable workflows

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

• Own the monthly billing process, including invoice preparation, review, and distribution

• Ensure invoices align with contract terms in a SaaS, contract-based environment

• Maintain accurate AR tracking and support collections follow-up as needed

• Manage billing workflows using Excel-based trackers and internal documentation

• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies proactively

• Support the month-end close process by completing assigned close tasks on schedule

• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules

• Help ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and GAAP-aligned

• Maintain clean documentation to support audit readiness

• Partner with Project Managers to ensure revenue is recognized appropriately

• Work with Sales and Finance to clarify contract terms and billing timing

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve AR or billing questions

• Communicate clearly with both accounting and non-accounting partners

• Maintain high standards for detail, accuracy, and documentation

• Identify small, practical improvements to billing and accounting workflows

• Help reduce rework and errors through consistency and organization

• Support additional accounting projects over time as capacity allows

• Independently managing monthly billing with accuracy and consistency

• Completing assigned close tasks on time with minimal rework

• Maintaining clean, organized billing and AR tracking

• Building trust with Finance, Project Managers, and Sales through reliable execution

At Movemedical, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The expected salary range for this role is $90,000 to $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
