About The Role

Hunter Scouts is hiring a D365 Technical Developer to support a major Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations transformation for a Toronto-based public sector client (confidential). This 40-hour-per-week contract role is fully remote (candidate must reside in Canada). You will deliver custom development, integrations, reporting, and data migration activities across the program. The role is hands-on — enhancing existing functionality, building new extensions, creating reports, implementing integrations, and ensuring solutions follow D365 F&O best practices while collaborating with functional, technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance D365 F&O extensions, workflows and reports using X++ and the D365 extension framework
• Implement and support integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Azure Logic Apps and Power Automate
• Lead/support data migration and data cleansing activities; design and deliver reporting solutions with SSRS and Power BI; support Dataverse integration
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and defects across environments
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure adherence to development standards and D365 best practices
• Collaborate remotely with cross-functional functional, technical and business teams
  
  

Requirements

• Location: Must currently reside in Canada and be authorized to work in Canada without employer sponsorship
• 5+ years experience developing and customizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), including strong hands-on experience with X++ and the D365 extension framework
• 2+ years experience developing in C#/.NET for D365-related services or integrations, and experience implementing integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Azure Logic Apps and Power Automate
• 2+ years creating reporting solutions using SSRS and Power BI; hands-on experience with Microsoft Dataverse and leading/supporting data migration and data cleansing for D365 F&O programs
• Experience maintaining technical documentation, applying D365 development standards and troubleshooting production issues

• Experience with Azure DevOps for D365 (repos, build/release pipelines)
• Experience optimizing D365 F&O performance and configuring security roles/workflows
• Experience with Power Platform beyond automation (Power Apps)
• Experience delivering large-scale public sector or enterprise D365 implementations
